Terminals and domestic switch sockets

We all know very well that domestic switches, sockets and other products often use terminal blocks. Then you know which terminals are widely used in domestic switches and sockets. Electronic engineers pointed out that the most common terminals for switches and sockets in China are parallel plate screw terminals, saddle terminals, and quick-plug terminals. Whether the wiring is firm, solid and durable, it has become the requirement of national standards.

Let's take a look at these four terminal products separately.

1. Stud terminals

Compared with traditional wiring, the reliability of stud terminals has become its biggest advantage. They are very heat resistant. High-current switches, sockets are produced at high temperatures, so that with the common heating of the plug terminals reach the experimental requirements. The pressure of the screw produces great conductors that deform slightly and hold the wire securely, making it prone to prolapse. It may be wrong, and it is easy to damage other costs. Compared with the stress of the wire, the requirement for screwing is higher, the post and the copper riveting department will produce higher contact resistance, and the twisted pair copper wire produced by tightening the bolt is a serious result.

2. Parallel board terminals

Parallel board terminal blocks are the most common, and the cost is very low. Data plates and screws A3 ordinary galvanized steel after the situation occurs, after heat treatment to achieve higher strength and corrosion resistance. Typically, parallel plate terminal blocks are conductive strips and sheet metal punched strips applied or, mesh creasing dies, tightened screws, wire, strip appearance is destroyed, increasing the contact area so that the wire is Not easy to come out. The biggest mistake of this line is that it is difficult to press two lines of different diameters at the same time, the traces of the board have been kept in parallel relationship, unscrew the screws, the board is parallel to the elevator, and the two lines of different diameters are only clamped to the cable with the larger diameter.

3. Saddle screw terminals

Saddle screw terminals are similar to the columns, but with different treatments and materials, and capital terminals between the struts. The ordinary screws of the saddle clip are made of A3 steel plate, which is hot-dip galvanized to achieve greater strength and corrosion-resistant appearance. Similar wiring holes in this column are large, which is convenient for connecting wires of different diameters, but the advantage of its good heat dissipation effect is the terminal block. Saddle conductors and busbars converge directly without the need for riveting and thus do not suffer from similar clamping bolt defects. But it also has obvious defects in crushing, it is easy to crush or the wire, especially the smaller diameter compared to the stranded wire, the thread can be easily crushed.

4. Quick plug-in terminal block

Quick plug-in terminals for quick connection are more mature and widely used, but the national specifications for switches and sockets are only applicable to rated current products with high current products, and improper use of clips. The most obvious advantage is the speed of the connection, simply inserting the wire into the hole can draw the required time to complete until the screw is parallel from the front of the cable, the wire and a screwdriver to the terminal from the same direction, allowing the wiring assembly to be Staff will be able to get wiring positions for optimal viewing. But it is also a very obvious disadvantage, the removal of uncomfortable wires, the wire is elastic and the crimping wire is not tight, etc. Therefore, in the market, the quick connection cannot become a mainstream consumer product.
